What is Our Brandon?

Our Brandon is a community indicator system that gives the community a chance to track overall health, safety, education, welfare, and economy of our city. To foster a stronger community, Brandon citizens can use the information provided on this site to gain a deeper understanding of their surroundings. In turn creating a happier, healthier, stronger community for all.

Data is grouped into 6 categories: Built Environment, Basic Needs, Economy, Education, Health & Demographics. These categories are filled with a variety of information and statistics. Community members are then able to use data from Our Brandon to move towards action.

What is a Community Indicator?

A community indicator measures past and current trends within or surrounding the community. Providing insight into the overall direction of a community, this insight helps to measure improvements or declines in different areas.

How to access the data?

Along the left-hand side, there is a list of 6 categories. By clicking on each category, a list of indicators will appear. Each indicators has its own description, importance, data source and reference. To check out the graph for each indicator, click on the second top right tab labelled Graph.

How is Our Brandon funded?

Funding to implement and develop Our Brandon was provided by United Way Brandon & District, City of Brandon and Brandon Neighbourhood Renewal Corporation.
