Description

“Knowledge of Official languages” refers to the ability to conduct a conversation in one or both of the two official languages in the City of Brandon. 

Measurement and Limitations 

“In addition to a core population of English speakers, the City of Brandon has significant numbers of residents whose mother tongue is Spanish, Chinese, Gujarati, Mandarin, German and Ukrainian as well as a wide variety of other non-official languages. In addition to those languages specified in the following chart, a wide variety of other non-official languages were reported by smaller numbers of people in Brandon” (City of Brandon).
